Head Coach Nick Siranni updated the team's injury situation on Monday, saying that tight end Dallas Goedert will miss an undetermined amount of time after reportedly suffering a fractured forearm in Sunday's 28-23 win over Dallas.
"We will always look for the best ways to make this team better. We're hopeful Dallas will make a good, clean recovery when he's ready to be back," Sirianni said. "We like the guys that we have on this roster. We're excited about them."
Last season, the Eagles played without Goedert for five games while he recovered from a shoulder injury and the offense compensated with a variety of personnel packages and tweaks to the scheme, scoring 148 points in those five games.
Among the options on the current roster that Sirianni alluded to are third-year man Jack Stoll, second-year player Grant Calcaterra, and fourth-year veteran Albert Okwuegbunam, whom the Eagles acquired in a trade with Denver in late August. Rookie E.J. Jenkins was recently added to the practice squad.
