Phase one of the Eagles' offseason workout program begins on Monday. The voluntary offseason workout program is intended to provide training, teaching and physical conditioning for players.

What exactly does "Phase one" mean? The first two weeks of the program feature activities limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only. The Eagles are allowed to start earlier than most teams this year because they have a new head coach in Doug Pederson.

In Phase two, on-field workouts may include individual player instruction and drills as well as team practice conducted on a "separates" basis. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted. Since the Eagles have a new head coach, they have the opportunity to host a voluntary minicamp and will do so prior to the NFL Draft from April 19-21.

During Phase three consists, teams may conduct a total of 10 days of OTAs or organized team practice activity. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted. The Eagles are allowed to host a mandatory minicamp during this period and it will take place June 7-9.
