The Bears have just one name on their injury report for Monday night, but it's the name of their first-round draft pick, right tackle Gabe Carimi. He is now listed as out for the game, meaning Lance Lewis will start in his place.
Carimi practiced on Thursday as a full participant and there was the expectation that he would be ready to return to the lineup for the first time since injuring his knee in a Week 2 loss to New Orleans.
But Carimi isn't ready, so the Bears will go with Lewis and an offensive line that played well in wins over Minnesota and Tampa Bay, scoring 63 points and compiling 772 total net yards of offense. Most important, the Bears allowed just 3 quarterback sacks in those two games.
Wide receiver Earl Bennett will return for Chicago after suffering a chest injury in that New Orleans game.
