Patriots Not Taking Eagles Lightly

The Eagles are set to face one of the top head coach/quarterback tandems in NFL history this weekend in Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. The 7-3 Patriots are looking to hold their place atop the AFC with a win over the 4-6 Eagles.

They are not taking the Eagles lightly, though. In an interview with the Dennis and Callahan Show on WEEI Radio Tuesday, Tom Brady noted that Belichick referred to the Eagles "the best team the Patriots have faced all year" while discussing the importance of the upcoming game with him team.

"They're talented at every position," said the six-time Pro Bowl quarterback. "Obviously, they've had some tough losses this year, and most have been in the fourth quarter, but they have very good skill players in the secondary on defense. They can rush the quarterback, and they're also very well coached."

The Eagles know that in order to make the playoffs they'll need to win nearly all of their remaining games. Brady and the Patriots know this, and are expecting them to bring their all.

"We have to expect to get the Eagles' best Sunday. This is when the good teams really rise up," he said. "As the season goes on, the games get bigger and bigger, because there's more on the line. There's less margin for error. Any time you go on the road, it makes it that much more challenging. On a short week against a very talented team, it's going to be all we can handle."
