The NFL announced on Friday afternoon that Houston Texans tackle Duane Brown will replace Jason Peters on the Pro Bowl roster. No reason for the change was given.
As of now, running back LeSean McCoy is the only Eagles scheduled to play in the annual All-Star game in Hawaii. However, quarterback Nick Foles is a first alternate while wide receiver DeSean Jackson and guard Evan Mathis are second alternates. The Pro Bowl is scheduled for January 26. Teams that participate in the Super Bowl won't send their players to the Pro Bowl so other opportunities may arise.
Peters' nomination to this year's Pro Bowl was his sixth overall and fourth in five years with the Eagles. In addition, Peters was named first-team All-Pro just one year removed from an Achilles injury that prevented him from playing a single snap in 2012.
