The Eagles announced Tuesday the signing of running back Donnel Pumphrey to the practice squad.
Pumphrey was drafted by the Eagles in the fourth round (132nd overall) in 2017 but spent his rookie season on the Injured Reserve list with a hamstring injury. Pumphrey spent Training Camp with the Eagles in 2018 but battled another hamstring injury that kept him out of much of practice and the first three preseason games.
In the fourth preseason game against the New York Jets on August 30, Pumphrey had one carry for 3 yards and three receptions for 39 yards. Pumphrey was waived on September 1 as part of the 53-man roster cutdown. He was signed to the Detroit Lions' practice squad on September 5 but released on September 26.
