For the third time in his NFL career, DeSean Jackson has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week. In the Eagles 36-21 win over the New York Giants, Jackson caught seven passes for 132 yards and a touchdown. The last time that Jackson won this award was in December of 2010 for his performance against the Dallas Cowboys, when he hauled in four passes for 210 yards and a score.
Jackson becomes just the third player in NFL history (Tim Brown and Santana Moss) to be named Offensive Player of the Week three or more times and Special Teams Play of the Week at least twice. Jackson has also been honored twice as the Special Teams Player of the Month (September and December 2009).
