Running back Chris Polk made the special teams play of the year for the Eagles on Monday night when he forced a fumble on a kickoff return.
Polk, however, will not be available for the Eagles on Sunday against Dallas after he was ruled out for the contest with a toe injury, according to the team's injury report on Thursday. Polk was seen in a walking boot and crutches in the team's locker room before practice.
Polk joins wide receiver Mardy Gilyard (hamstring) as the players who are out for the game.
It appears as if guard Danny Watkins will miss a third straight game with an ankle injury. He has not participated in practice yet this week.
Running back LeSean McCoy rested again on Thursday as he recovers from the flu. He is expected to play Sunday against the Cowboys.
The only other change to the Eagles' injury report on Thursday was that safety David Sims returned to practice in full capacity with a foot injury. He did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Five other Eagles were full participants on Thursday: safety Nate Allen (hamstring), wide receiver Jason Avant (back), cornerback Brandon Boykin (toe), linebacker Akeem Jordan (groin) and guard Evan Mathis (knee).
