Running back Matthew Tucker was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, following the announcement that running back Chris Polk (shoulder) has been downgraded to Out ahead of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Tucker will serve as the third running back behind LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown on Sunday.
To make room on the active roster for Tucker, the Eagles released rookie cornerback Jordan Poyer.
An undrafted rookie out of TCU, Tucker, 6-1, 227, had 25 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles during the preseason.
