Redskins: Garcon, Meriweather Limited

The Redskins are coming off the bye week and could receive a boost on both the offensive side and the defensive side of the football.

Wide receiver Pierre Garcon and safety Brandon Meriweather were limited in Wednesday's practice, but both players have a chance to return to the field against the Eagles.

A free-agent signing from Indianapolis, Garcon had a stellar debut for the Redskins catching four passes for 109 yards and a touchdown in the win over New Orleans. However, Garcon suffered a foot injury which kept him out of the next two games. He played in Weeks 4 and 5, but was limited catching just four passes for 44 yards. He has missed the last four games for Washington. Garcon provides quarterback Robert Griffin III a deep threat in the offense.

Meriweather, who also signed with Washington this offseason, has not played this year due to a knee injury he originally incurred the week prior to the start of the season. He re-injured the knee in a freak pregame incident prior to the Week 4 game at Tampa Bay. The Redskins rank 30th in pass defense and have allowed 20 touchdowns through the air which is the most by any team this season.

Four other players were on Washington's injury report, but were all full participants - wide receiver Santana Moss (head), punter Sav Rocca (right knee), long snapper Nick Sundberg (forearm) and cornerback Josh Wilson (shoulder).
