Head coach Andy Reid spoke to the *Philadelphia Inquirer *by telephone on Friday during his USO tour visit in the Persian Gulf and was asked about the status of quarterback Michael Vick. A shooting took place a week ago today outside of a Virginia Beach nightclub where Vick had celebrated his 30th birthday party.
"I have spoken to Michael and I've looked into the situation," Reid told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I'm aware of the things that are happening and I'll continue to be kept abreast about any recent developments."
The Eagles released a statement last Friday and it stated that the team was "in the process of gathering all of the facts." Reid said that he is standing by that statement and "nothing has been decided" regarding Vick's future with the Eagles.
