For the majority of the game, Sunday's contest against the Steelers seemed to follow a familiar script. Quarterback Michael Vick led the offense down the field in the fourth quarter, scoring a touchdown on a long drive to take the lead. But the defense was unable to keep the Steelers in check, allowing quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the offense to drive 64 yards for a game-winning Shaun Suisham kick.

"It was a great effort," Reid said after the game. "Guys on both sides of the ball played hard. It was just a matter of (getting) off the field at the end there."

Unfortuantely, Sunday's game followed a familiar script in another fashion - turnovers. Quarterback Michael Vick had two fumbles, including one at the goal line in the first quarter.

"You can't do that in a good place; a stadium on the road against a good football team," Reid said. "You just can't do it. We put ourselves in position to win the game. We need to make sure we get off the field on that last drive."

After being tied for the league lead in sacks during the 2011 season, the defense was unable to bring down Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The Eagles failed to record a sack for the second consecutive game, keeping the team sack total at seven on the season. The big-bodied Roethlisberger was able to keep plays alive, creating opportunities for the Steelers offense.

"We had pressure, we had chances to get our hands on him," Reid said. "He's a big, strong guy. You have to bring him down once you get your hands on him. We knew that was an issue. That was an issue against every team he's played."

One of the biggest positives from the game came on the injury front. Reid said the only players who were hurt were running back Bryce Brown (shoulder) and linebacker Mychal Kendricks (ankle.) Both players returned to the game.

The Eagles will head home and face the Detroit Lions at Lincoln Financial Field next Sunday, looking to head into the bye week with a 4-2 record.
