Report: Carson Wentz Will Participate In Team Drills

ESPN's Chris Mortensen provided a bit of good news early Saturday afternoon.

Head coach Doug Pederson said before Thursday's game in New England that quarterback Carson Wentz's knee would be re-evaluated after the team returned to Philadelphia. Pederson will speak to reporters at noon on Sunday, which we will carry live. It will be before the team's first practice since the New England contest.

Wentz participated in team drills early in Training Camp and then was limited to individual drills and 7-on-7 action to keep him in a controlled environment. Pederson said at the time that everything was going according to plan and the coaches saw what they needed to see in those first few days of Training Camp. Quarterbacks coach Press Taylor added the team was encouraged by Wentz's progress.

ESPN's Adam Schefter offered this note about Wentz and his availability for the final two preseason games.

The Eagles' third preseason outing, considered the dress rehearsal for the regular season, is Thursday in Cleveland.
