A three-year starter, Jenkins played in 48 games, accumulated 152 tackles, 30 for loss and five sacks in his college career. In the past two seasons, the 6-4, 310-pound Jenkins had 108 tackles with 19 for loss.
Pro Football Weekly and DraftInsider.net each rank Jenkins as one of the top 10 defensive tackles available in this year's draft. DraftInsider.net placed a second-round grade on Jenkins stating that he is a "solid talent with potential at tackle or as a two-gap end." Pro Football Weekly believes that Jenkins could be a starter as a 4-3 nose tackle.
