Adam Caplan of Sirius NFL Radio and Scout.com reports that the Eagles worked out Ricky Foley, who was tied for the lead in the Canadian Football League with 12 sacks last season. The Eagles already signed a CFL standout this off-season in Most Outstanding Rookie Martell Mallett, who was Foley's teammate with the B.C. Lions.
"Foley is seen by personnel evaluators as an undersized edge rusher with decent speed, but has a good motor," Caplan wrote. "A source said his skills are a bit raw, but has enough talent to play in the NFL."
Caplan joins Dave Spadaro every Monday on Eagles Live! at noon to provide his insight into what's going on with the Eagles as well as the NFL.
Foley will hope to follow in the footsteps of Cameron Wake, a defensive end who left the B.C. Lions to join the Miami Dolphins last season and finished with 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
