ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported that the Saints are not matching the offer sheet signed by running back Mike Bell, and that Bell joins the Eagles with a one-year contract.
There has been no official confirmation from either the Eagles or the Saints at this point. But the story has changed so many times and so rapidly that, well, who really knows?
Bell ran for 654 yards last year with the Saints. He visited the NovaCare Complex last week and signed an offer sheet worth a reported $1.7 million, with incentives that could push the dollar amount to more than $2 million for 2010. Bell is expected to team with LeSean McCoy in the Eagles' backfield.
