The Eagles made a gameday roster move bringing in defensive tackle Landon Cohen. To make room for him on the 75-man roster, linebacker Monte Simmons was released.
Cohen will wear No. 77 and is expected to play against the Jets on Thursday night. The Eagles are resting Cullen Jenkins, Derek Landri and Fletcher Cox so Cohen will be utilized to eat up snaps. Cohen was with the Cardinals in Training Camp and released when Arizona got to the 75-man limit.
A seventh-round pick of the Detroit Lions in 2008, Cohen has played for the Jaguars and Patriots in addition to the Lions. In four seasons, the 6-3, 300-pound Cohen has played in 25 games.
