Head Coach Doug Pederson previously indicated that the Eagles would place starting left guard Isaac Seumalo on Injured Reserve with a knee injury that he incurred in Sunday's loss to the Rams. On Tuesday, the Eagles did just that.
The good news is that Pederson doesn't expect the injury to be of the season-ending variety. Teams are able to bring players off of Injured Reserve after three games in 2020.
Matt Pryor replaced Seumalo and played the final 46 snaps at left guard on Sunday, but the Eagles could also start veteran Jamon Brown, who was signed last week and inactive for the Rams game. Brown has 60 career games under his belt with eight starts at left guard.
The Eagles also announced their protected practice squad players for Week 3: defensive back Grayland Arnold, wide receiver Deontay Burnett, center Luke Juriga, and defensive tackle T.Y. McGill. Other teams are forbidden from signing these four players through the end of this game week.
