The Eagles made a series of roster moves on Wednesday morning. The Eagles signed defensive tackle T.Y. McGill and cornerback Trevor Williams. To make room for them on the roster, the team waived linebacker Dante Olson and placed tight end Joshua Perkins on Injured Reserve.
DT T.Y. McGill: McGill was with the Eagles in 2018, playing in two games. The 6-0, 299-pound McGill also played in regular-season games for the Colts, Browns, and, most recently, the Chargers.
CB Trevor Williams: Like McGill, Williams was also previously with the Eagles, but not in the regular season. A former standout at Penn State, Williams, too, played for the Chargers. He was a futures contract signing of the Eagles following the 2019 regular season, but was released when the team cut the roster down to 80 players.
With Perkins on Injured Reserve, the Eagles are down to four tight ends in Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert, Tyrone Swoopes (who was added this week), and rookie free agent Noah Togiai.
