• Mathis played in eight games for the Rams as a rookie and posted two tackles on defense.
• Mathis was released by the Rams in August. He promptly signed with New England's practice squad.
• Mathis was elevated three times by the Patriots before signing to the 53-man active roster in October.
• Before being released by the Patriots, Mathis played in five games this season for New England, notching a tackle on defense and another on special teams.
