Before kicking off the weekend, the Eagles made some adjustments to the 90-man roster.
The Eagles signed defensive tackle Tevita Finau and agreed to an injury settlement with defensive end Maurice Fountain, who ruptured the patellar tendon in his knee during the rookie camp. The Eagles now have 15 defensive linemen on the active roster – eight tackles and seven ends.
The 6-4, 283-pound Finau was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Arizona following the draft. Finau logged 37 tackles with five tackles for loss and three sacks as a senior in 2011 for Utah. Finau played a huge role in Utah's Sun Bowl win against Georgia Tech, recording a career-high 10 tackles.
The Lahaina, Hawaii native was recognized as the 2008 regional Co-Defensive Player of the Year at Phoenix College, where he was also named to the All-Western States Football League second-team defense after posting 53 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and a forced fumble.
The 26-year-old was a three-year recipient of first-team all-state honors in football and basketball at Kahuka (Hawaii) High School.
