We're an hour and a half away from arguably the Eagles' toughest challenge yet this season, and it looks like the team will get a much-needed reinforcement.
Mychal Kendricks has missed three games this season with a hamstring injury, including each of Philadelphia's last two contests. But he is set to return to action Sunday night against the 5-0 Panthers. The fourth-year inside linebacker notched 17 combined tackles in weeks 1 and 2 and logged just 11 snaps in the team's Week 4 loss to Washington before tweaking the injury and leaving the game. He'll start inside alongside rookie Jordan Hicks, who will spell injured veteran DeMeco Ryans, who is also dealing with a hamstring issue.
Also inactive for the Eagles in Week 7 will be rookie wideout Nelson Agholor, who injured his ankle during last week's 27-7 win over the Giants. Defensive end Brandon Bair (groin) and linebacker Kiko Alonso (knee) will be held out again due to injury. The team's other three inactives are quarterback Thad Lewis, offensive lineman Tanner Hawkinson, and cornerback Denzel Rice.
The Panthers will be without running back Brandon Wegher, wide receiver Kevin Norwood, tight end Scott Simonson, offensive lineman Daryl Williams, defensive tackle Dwan Edwards, linebacker Shaq Thompson, and safety Dean Marlowe.
