A week after sitting with a knee injury against the Dallas Cowboys, rookie safety Earl Wolff says that he's optimistic that he'll be able to play in his first career playoff game on Saturday night against the New Orleans Saints, even though he did not practice on Tuesday. Wolff originally injured his knee in Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers and missed four games. He returned to action in Week 16 against the Chicago Bears, only to reinjure the knee.
"It feels pretty good," Wolff said of the knee Tuesday. "It definitely is (better than last week)."
Wolff's chances of playing are of further curiosity this week because of Saints tight end Jimmy Graham.
Asked if he was optimistic that he'll be able to suit on Saturday night, Wolff said, "Yeah, I am."
