Cornerback Asante Samuel "ran around a little bit out there" at practice on Monday and thinks he has a chance to play on Thursday night against Houston and Pro Bowl wide receiver Andre Johnson. Samuel missed Sunday's game in Chicago with a knee injury.
"I'm taking it day by day, working a little bit more every day," he said. "We'll see how it goes from one day to the next. I'm not going to predict anything. I'm just going to see how I feel and go from there."
Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler threw four touchdown passes in the win over the Eagles and Samuel agonized as he watched the game on television. Samuel did not make the trip to Chicago.
"It was tough watching the game on Sunday, seeing my family, my brothers, out there fighting and I'm at home and there is nothing I can do," said Samuel. "It was definitely tough."
