The Philadelphia Eagles today announced that defensive end Ricky Sapp underwent successful arthroscopic surgery today to debride his right knee. The procedure was performed by team physician Peter DeLuca of the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia.
Sapp, a fifth-round draft choice of the Eagles in 2010 from Clemson, was placed on the Injured Reserve list on August 31.
