ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted on Monday that if there's one team most likely to land the services of quarterback Donovan McNabb it's the Oakland Raiders.
"Oakland has emerged as leader in Donovan McNabb sweepstakes," Schefter wrote. "Doesn't mean another team couldn't get deal done, but Raiders are team to beat."
That goes along with what NFL.com's Jason LaCanfora wrote late last week when he reported that the Raiders are "the team in heaviest pursuit."
Schefter's tweet did not indicate any type of offer. Last week, rumors suggested that All-Pro cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha could be involved.
Upon learning of Schefter's news, Sports Illustrated's Peter King agreed tweeting that he believed the Raiders and the Buffalo Bills "were leaders in clubhouse for DM."
