The Eagles will have a very special guest in attendance on Tuesday, August 3 - NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello announced that Goodell will check out seven training camp sites over the course of six days and Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. will be Goodell's second stop after visiting the New Orleans Saints.
"Roger is really looking forward to visiting with fans, players, coaches and team staff. He wants to know what's up and how we can improve," Aiello told NFLLabor.com.
There are reports that Hall of Fame coach John Madden will accompany Goodell on the tour. It's just another reason to visit the Eagles at Lehigh. Training camp is right around the corner with rookies and selected vets scheduled to arrive Monday, July 26.
