Tony Pauline from DraftInsider.net has updated his big board with the 2013 NFL Draft set to begin Thursday night. Here are some takeaways from the Top 32 shown below ...
- It's a strong draft class for teams selecting early that are searching for help on both the offensive and defensive lines. Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel is Pauline's No. 1 player in this draft class and is one of six offensive linemen in the Top 16. Defensive end/outside linebacker Dion Jordan of Oregon is the No. 2 overall prospect and one of 13 defensive front seven players in the Top 32.
- Where will the quarterbacks be drafted? Pauline has only one in his Top 32 with Geno Smith of West Virginia atop to signal caller list at No. 24 overall.
- Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner is the top defensive back at No. 7 overall. Milliner is one of five defensive backs (3 CBs, 2 Ss) in the Top 32.
- It's not a good year if you are in search of premier talent at the skill positions. Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson is the top pass catcher at No. 18 overall followed by West Virginia's Tavon Austin at No. 19. Alabama's Eddie Lacy was the only running back to crack the Top 32.
