The Eagles announced Tuesday that wide receiver Arrelious Benn suffered a torn ACL in his left knee while serving as a blocker on a kickoff drill during Tuesday's practice. Benn was acquired, along with a seventh round pick, from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March in exchange for a 2013 sixth-round pick and a conditional 2014 draft pick. He injured the same knee during the first full team practice on July 27 and had just returned to action on Sunday, August 4.
The Eagles also released wide receiver Dave Ball, who was signed on July 27.
There are now 88 players on the Eagles roster, including nine healthy wide receivers.
