Ask any fan or pundit and the Eagles' 30-23 victory over the Rams was a monumental upset.
Ask any Eagles player and they'd tell you that they played exactly how they had expected from the beginning of the season.
For a variety of reasons, the Eagles haven't always played that way this season, but it could not have come at a better time, as Sunday's victory kept them in the thick of the NFC playoff race.
The victory would not have happened without a number of great individual performances, but here are the three that stood out the most. Here are your nominees for Toyota Player of the Week:
WR Alshon Jeffery
Alshon Jeffery reminded a national viewing audience that he is still very capable of dominating opposing defenses Sunday night.
Jeffery caught eight passes for 160 yards in what was by far his best game of the season and one of his best games in an Eagles uniform.
QB Nick Foles
Nick Foles did not disappoint in his return to the starting lineup against the Rams.
In the same stadium where his magic carpet ride to the Super Bowl began last season, Foles completed 24 of his 31 passes for 270 yards.
Although Foles did not throw a touchdown and turned the ball over once, he drove the Eagles' offense to points on their first two possessions and kept the potent Rams offense off the field with time-consuming possessions.
DT Fletcher Cox
The Eagles' defense as a whole deserves praise for holding the high-powered Rams offense to only 23 points, but Fletcher Cox once again showed why he is one of the best defensive players in football with a sack and three total tackles.
