How will Kevin Kolb fit into the offense?
The new starting quarterback went through the spring practices and performed very well. Kolb showed an excellent command of the offense and he ran a fine huddle. There is no question that Kolb understands the concepts of the offense and that he can handle every bit of the X's and O's that the coaches will throw his way.
There is also no question that Kolb has the respect of his teammates. But what we don't know about Kolb is how he will react as the starter on a week-in, week-out basis. He has the tools to be outstanding in the offense. He now has to go out and do it.
From the looks of things in the spring, the offense will still be wide open, still be a pass-first scheme and is going to feature a down-the-field element. But you would expect Kolb to get rid of the ball quickly and rely on timing and accuracy to make the offense go.
