It was a fun and festive atmosphere on Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field for Eagles Flight Night! and the mood was especially bright with the return of quarterback Michael Vick to action. Vick injured his ribs in last Monday's win at New England.
"It was great to get back out there, great to throw the ball around and get back in the huddle with the guys and just have some fun," Vick said. "It was great to enjoy the fans and enjoy the game of football."
The Eagles open the season two weeks from Sunday in Cleveland against the Browns. Vick will be ready for the opener. The "most important thing," Vick said, to do between now and the opener is continue to throw.
"Throw with men in the pocket, get a good feel for what I need to do to be successful out on the field," Vick said.
