Vick Exits Game; X Rays Negative

FOXBOROUGH, Mass --Quarterback Michael Vick lasted until the second series of Monday night's game before being sent to the locker room, again, for X rays on his ribs. The X rays were negative, the only bright spot of Vick's otherwise tough night.

He took a hit from defensive end Jermaine Cunningham as the offensive line broke down and was slow to get up. Vick then took a knee and walked off the field to the sidelines, to be replaced by rookie Nick Foles.

Shortly thereafter, Vick was taken to the locker room for X rays on his rib area.

Vick completed 1 of 3 passes for 5 yards and added one run for 5 yards before leaving the game. In two preseason games, Vick completed 4 of 7 passes for 11 yards.

On the play that resulted in Vick leaving the game, the offensive line's lack of protection made the quarterback vulnerable. Left guard Evan Mathis was beaten badly by defensive tackle Kyle Love, and that forced Vick to roll to his right, where he turned into a charging Cunningham, who beat a double team of right guard Danny Watkins and right tackle Todd Herremans.

UPDATE: Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who had an interception wiped out because of a roughing the passer call, left the game with a shoulder injury and did not return.
