Quarterback Michael Vick is present at Wednesday's practice. After practice is over, the Eagles will release the official injury report to designate how much Vick worked out. Only the first 10 minutes of practice are open to the media.
However, Vick did take part in the team's walkthrough Wednesday morning to the delight of his teammates.
"It's great to see Mike out there. Obviously, he wants to be out there," running back Ronnie Brown said. "I think the toughest part about being a player is not being able to go out there and go with your team when you've put so much work into it. It was great to see him out there. He has the want to. We'll see what happens."
Head coach Andy Reid said that if Vick did not practice that backups Mike Kafka and Vince Young would split the first-team reps.
"He's the starting QB for the Eagles. It would obviously be huge if he's out there playing," wide receiver Riley Cooper said of Vick. "If he's not, you saw Kafka running the offense and you know Vince, two-time Pro Bowler. We obviously have some options."
Offensive tackle Todd Herremans said Vick appeared normal at the walkthrough, but at the end of the day his job doesn't change no matter who is at quarterback.
"We're supposed to protect the quarterback. We're supposed to open up holes for the running back," Herremans said. "You can do as many ifs and buts and whatifs and all that as you want to but in the end it's our offense."
