Michael Vick's agent Joel Segal made an appearance on NFL Network on Monday morning and was asked about the four-time Pro Bowl quarterback's long-term future in Philadelphia.
Vick signed a one-year franchise tender on March 2, which guarantees that he will be in an Eagles uniform for the 2011 season. However, according to Segal, Vick certainly would not mind wearing the midnight green for a little bit longer.
"I think a long-term deal is something both sides would covet. I will talk to Joe Banner and explore that," Segal said via telephone. "I think Mike is amenable to it. He'd look forward to it. (He) loves Philly, loves the fans. He's a big Marty (Mornhinweg) fan, Andy Reid fan. If the Eagles are interested, we're definitely interested."
Vick enjoyed his finest season in 2010 as he finished with career highs in QB rating (100.2), completion percentage (62.6) and passing yards (3,018) while leading the Eagles to the NFC East division title. Vick was originally signed by the Eagles on August 14, 2009.
