Quarterback Michael Vick threw Sunday at the NovaCare Complex, another critical step forward in his recovery from the concussion he suffered two weeks earlier against the Dallas Cowboys. Vick remains on the schedule head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder set forth on Saturday, and the next step as Vick reaches Phase 4 of his recovery is that he takes another ImPACT test on Monday to see if he has recovered to his baseline measurements.
Vick has been ruled out for Monday night's game against Carolina. If he passes the ImPACT test, Vick still has to see an independent neurologist as well as get passing marks from team physician Gary Dorsheimer.
So, there are still some hurdles to clear before Vick returns to the practice field. But the news is good and he is making steady progress.
Nick Foles makes his second start of the season against Carolina. The Eagles then turn around on a short week and play next Sunday night at Dallas in Arlington, TX.
