Brian Westbrook can't wait to finally get out on the field this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
"I'm anxious to get out there and work with the guys," he said. "I'm just happy to be able to go out there and feel relatively healthy. My knee, my ankle. I'm excited about it, working with a new offensive line."
Although Westbrook didn't play in any preseason games, he thinks that might be an advantage.
"It was definitely different," he said. "I feel a lot fresher as I sit here right now than I have in the past."
He's also excited about the array of offensive weapons the Eagles have imported to take some of the pressure off of Westbrook.
"We have a lot of good weapons on this team, a lot of guys who can do thing with the ball," he said. "With all the offensive weapons we have, the defense has to focus on then as much as they focus on me, so I'm excited about that."
He also said he sees a lot of potential in his backup, rookie LeSean McCoy.
"I think LeSean's ready," Westbrook said. "He's worked very hard in training camp.
"You can tell he's got the making of a very good football player."
