Westbrook Earns Player Of The Week Honors

Running back Brian Westbrook was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Arizona Cardinals on Thanksgiving night.

Westbrook had 22 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns while catching three passes for an additional 20 yards and two more scores in a 48-20 win over the Cardinals at Lincoln Financial Field.

This marks the second time in Westbrook's career that he's received Offensive Player of the Week honors. In Week 3 of the 2007 campaign, Westbrook had 14 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns while adding five catches for 111 yards and another touchdown in a 56-21 drubbing of the Detroit Lions.

Westbrook also won NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors in 2003 after his last-minute 84-yard punt return that gave the Eagles a come-from-behind 14-10 victory over the New York Giants at the Meadowlands.

Westbrook joins teammates Brian Dawkins and Sav Rocca as players that have garnered distinct honors. Dawkins was named Defensive Player of the Week after his standout performance against the Steelers in Week 3 and Rocca earned the Special Teams Player of the Month award after leading the league with a 44.1-yard net average in September. Rocca also had nine punts land inside the 20 with only one touchback in the season's opening month.
