What's Happening Tonight At Eagles-Jags Game

Thursday's game is themed around the Philadelphia Eagles nationally recognized Go Greenprogram.

2009 is on its way to being a record setting year for the Eagles Go Greenprogram as the Eagles have already recycled 57.22 tons of commingled material. In 2008, the year's total of recycled commingled material was 65.09 tons. The Eagles also recently recycled 21.98 tons worth of 2008 programs, the most we have ever recycled.

For the second year in a row the Eagles will be purchasing 100% of the Eagles energy from clean energy sources, the majority being wind power.

The latest edition to the Eagles Go Green efforts in 2009 is food composting. The Eagles have already composted 6.5 tons of food, with 3.1 tons of the food composting total coming from the Kenny Chesney concert in July.

Thursday's game will also feature Go Green Public Service Announcements from Philadelphia Eagles players. They will give fans tips on going green such as carpooling and energy conservation.

As part of the Go Greenprogram, Thursday's game will host Honorary Captains Anne Rahn of Delaware Valley Earth Force and Deputy Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams of The Philadelphia Recycling Department, accompanied by Eagles receiving great, Harold Carmichael.

In partnership with Thursday's Go Green game, The Delaware Valley Earth Force and The Philadelphia Recycling Department will have booths in the HeadHouse plaza featuring information on the 'green' aspects of their organizations. Kirby Bucket, The Philadelphia Recycling Department's mascot, will be on hand to help distribute the information. Both of these organizations will get to enjoy Thursday's Go Green pre-season game, courtesy of Teva Pharmaceuticals, who have graciously donated their tickets to both groups.

  • Parkingcosts for lots in the sports complex are $20 for cars; $40 for oversized vehicles.
  • For those in attendance at Thursday's game, the HeadHouse Plaza will feature activities prior to kickoff including a live performance from Liquid A. Gates to the HeadHouse Plaza will open at 4 p.m. Live pregame broadcasts from WYSP and WIP will take place in the plaza before the game. The Interactive Zone will feature face painting and the opportunity for children to sign up for the Eagles Kids Club. Fans can also enjoy informational sponsor booths provided by Rite Aid, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Pepsi, Ticketmaster, Best Buy and Temple Football. The Mobile Fan Zone, featuring Madden '09 on PlayStation 3 will also be on the plaza for fans to play. Additionally, Dunkin' Donuts will be providing free samples of iced coffee.
  • *Suite and Club Gates open at 5 p.m. and Stadium Gates open at 5:30 p.m. *
  • Thursday's National Anthem will be performed by Timothy Bolognone of Philadelphia, PA, one of the winners from the Eagles National Anthem competition. The Villanova NROTC Color Guard will be presenting the Colors.
  • Thursday's Snapple Coin-Toss Kid is Aidan Shandley, from Springfield, PA.
  • Thursday's RE/MAX Kickoff Kid is Wasba Lang, from Philadelphia, PA.
  • Thursday's Eagles Kids Club Biggest Fan is Jared Green, from Zionsville, PA.
  • Thursday's Dietz and Watson Hometown Hero is Navy Master at Arms Petty Officer First Class Donald Blevins. Navy Master at Arms Petty Officer First Class Donald Blevins provides explosive and narcotic detection support to all branches of the military and other Department Of Defense agencies including the FBI and Secret Service. He is currently stationed at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Willow Grove and recently returned from an 8-month deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
  • Halftime Band: The halftime entertainment for Thursday's game will be a live performance by The Zone on the Miller Lite Phlite Deck. The Miller Lite Phlite Deck serves as the site for all halftime performances and is located on the concourse level behind section 107. It hosts 50 lucky fans who are able to watch the game from a great location while being front row for the halftime show.   • MADD: The Eagles are teaming up again with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to administer a Designated Driver program on game day. Fans who sign up to be a designated driver receive a wristband redeemable for a free soft drink. Visit the MADD information booth located behind section 120 or any of the Guest Services locations to sign-up.
  • Teva Pharmaceuticals Community Red Zone: Each week the Eagles will highlight two local charitable organizations that are making a difference in the community, courtesy of Teva Pharmaceuticals. The organizations will receive tickets to the game and space in the HeadHouse Plaza pregame so they can provide information on their services to Eagles fans at the game. This week's organizations are: Delaware Valley Earth Force and Philadelphia Recycling Department.
  • Teva Pharmaceuticals Family Starting Line-ups: Each week the Eagles will be choosing up to four families whose lives have recently been affected by a medical condition to receive tickets to the game courtesy of Teva Pharmaceuticals. The group will have the opportunity to watch warm-ups from the sidelines and be on the field as the Eagles starters are announced! This week's families will be from Special Olympics Pennsylvania.
  • Gender Specific Search Lines: For the 2009 season, there will be a new security search layout at every gate and entrance. Signs will designate each security search line as: Male, Female, or Family. Family lines are for groups that prefer to stay together through the security process. As Guests approach the gate, they will be instructed to locate and follow the signs for their designated security search line. This layout has been designed to improve the flow through security and ensure you get into Lincoln Financial Field in a timely manner.
