Bears starting right tackle Gabe Carimi has missed the past five games with a knee injury that he suffered in the Week 2 loss to New Orleans. Carimi is on track to make his return to action on Monday night as he was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
The question is whether the Bears will immediately put him back in the starting lineup where he would have to line up against Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Babin.
"We don't have to make any of those decisions yet," head coach Lovie Smith said on Thursday. "We'll let him tell us how far he's come along. Looked good today. Looked good last week. I assume we'll have him available and we love making those kinds of choices late in the week."
The Bears offensive line has solidified in the past two games. Quarterback Jay Cutler has been sacked 21 times this season, but only three times in their last two outings. Veteran Chris Spencer has played at guard, while Lance Louis has started at right tackle. Louis would likely slide back to guard if Carimi starts.
Carimi was the only player listed on the Bears injury report as they are coming off of their bye week.
The Eagles, meanwhile, didn't have three players participate in Thursday's practice: running back LeSean McCoy (illness), tight end Brent Celek (hip) and linebacker Akeem Jordan (concussion). Of the three, the only player whose status is in doubt is Jordan, who has not yet passed the concussion test.
The following Eagles were also listed on the injury report as full participants in practice: safety Nate Allen (knee), offensive tackle King Dunlap (back), offensive tackle Winston Justice (knee), defensive end Juqua Parker (ankle) and fullback Owen Schmitt (groin).
