WR Jason Avant

On what makes Jets CB Darelle Revis such a dominant and complete player: "His ability to be patient is his biggest asset. Usually when you have guys that are fast and quick, most DBs are frantic and they can't get in a stance. He's really calm and knows he's the best, so he sits there and waits for you to declare your move. He'll sit right there in front of you."

On the Eagles chances against a tough Jets secondary: "I think that all dreams are definitely achievable. You have to go out with your 'A' game. For the guys in this locker room, you will not have a better opportunity. This is what you play the game for, to play against the best players. I think it's a great challenge for us as receivers and also for our team because they're like the bullies. They'll run the ball at you, a lot of them play man-to-man, so it's like playing bullies or your big brothers."

On whether the Eagles need to show the same effort and passion to finish the season out in the right way: "We're just trying to get a win this week. We aren't worried about down the line. We need to have more effort, more passion, more productivity, focus, and concentration as the games go by and especially this week they're a complete team and have been to the AFC Championship Game two years in a row. That's not something that's given to you, that's earned. We have to go out and play our game and beat them because they're not going to give it to us."

LB Jamar Chaney

On facing the number one team in the red zone this week: "They have a receiver that is 6-5, 230-240 pounds, they have a really good tight end, and they have a balance with a pretty good running game. That's pretty much all the things you need to have in the red zone. They have a big, physical back with a big, physical offensive line along with receivers that go up for the fade balls in the end zone. With all those things, they also use the wildcat formation. They have a lot of stuff they can do down there."

On what he saw from the team against Miami that he hopes will carry through to the next game: "Just playing with consistency, and that's something we haven't been doing this year. We haven't been consistent. You can talk about stopping the run, the pass, or pass-rush, but the main thing for us is to make sure that we play four quarters of football instead of spurts here and there."

On whether the design was this defense was to clamp down before offenses were able to develop consistency: "Anytime you have a front-four like ours, you want to get into situations where a team has to throw the ball so you can let those seven guys get after the quarterback and then let [CB] Nnamdi [Asomugha], [CB] Asante [Samuel], [S] Kurt [Coleman] and [S] Nate [Allen] do what they do in coverage. Anytime you can do that, that's what those pass rushers like [DE] Trent [Cole] like to do. That's the situation we're trying to get in."

DE Jason Babin

On not worrying about playoff scenarios and just playing about the Jets: "If I have to ask someone to explain it to me, then I don't think I have to worry about it. It's rather complicated. I think the best thing we can do is have a good week of practice, go out Sunday and give them heck. First we need to take care of Sunday, and that starts with a good week of practice. Then, we'll worry about the next week."

On whether their offense is easy to figure out because they like to run the ball: "No, they have a lot of options. They have a wildcat, they have a balanced wildcat, and a balanced [wish]bone look. So they have a lot of things that they're forcing us to work on."

On whether he likes to play against coaches who like talking trash: "I really don't know too much about his reputation but I had the chance to meet him on the north shore of Hawaii after the Pro Bowl. We had a nice chat and I think he's a really nice guy."

G Evan Mathis

On whether the offense has to put a better game together to beat the Jets than they did in Miami: "After a showing like we had Sunday, I think we definitely need to have a better performance. The Jets are a similar defense in that they're very well coached and they are pretty high ranked as far as stats are concerned. It's going to present a challenge for us as well."

On whether he worries about playoff scenarios: "We can't worry about that. We can't worry about distractions. Either way, we can't let it affect our preparation and our focus for the task at hand. We can only control what is in front of us and right now, that's the Jets."
