For an Eagles' offense that appears to have weapons at every position, starting wide receiver has become somewhat overlooked.
Curtis exploded for 1110 yards receiving in his first year in Philadelphia in 2007 and followed that up with a productive second half to 2008 after missing the first hald of the season with a sports hernia. However, Curtis has been hampered by a knee injury since training camp, and he has been a limited participant in practice this week.
"I don't think there is any question that (the injury) is impacting (Curtis) now," said offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg. "However, you can still play at a high level when you're banged up a little bit, and that's what he's trying to do. He's a tough guy. [He] doesn't say much about it."
Curtis has five catches on the year for 70 yards.
"It's just part of the game right now," Curtis said. "What can you do?
"You just do everything you can to feel as good as I can every Sunday."
With fellow starting wide receiver DeSean Jackson also less than 100 percent with a groin strain, Curtis' ability to produce through pain may be even more vital come Sunday against the Chiefs.
