There are now seven players on the practice squad, as the Eagles have signed WR Jeremy Williams, originally a rookie free agent signing of the San Diego Chargers in 2010.
Williams (6-0, 203) was released as part of the team's final roster cutdown on September 4. The 23-year-old starred collegiately at Tulane, earning honorable mention All-Conference USA honors as a senior in 2009 after recording 84 receptions for 1,113 yards and seven touchdowns. He finished his career ranked fourth in school history in receptions (197) and receiving yards (2,807), and seventh in touchdown catches with 19.
In the Chargers' final preseason game, Williams returned a punt 93 yards for a touchdown and caught four passes for 42 yards.
Williams joins tight end Garrett Mills, center A.Q. Shipley, offensive lineman Dallas Reynolds, wide receiver Chad Hall, running back Martell Mallett and defensive tackle Jeff Owens on the practice squad.
