The Eagles have filled the open spot in their 53-man roster with the signing of wide receiver Ronald Johnson, who has spent the entire season on the team's practice squad. Johnson fills the void left after safety Kurt Coleman was placed on injured reserve.
Johnson, 5-10, 185, was a sixth-round draft choice by the San Francisco 49ers in April's draft. At Southern Cal, he played in 47 games and totaled 3,501 all-purpose yards. A capable kick returner, Johnson wears jersey No. 80. The Eagles now have six wide receivers on the roster.
