Titans quarterback Vince Young sat out practice yet again on Friday in Tennessee. Young failed to practice all week after suffering a knee and an ankle sprain Monday night against Jacksonville. Officially, Young is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
Taking the reps at Titans practice Friday was veteran quarterback Kerry Collins. Collins completed 11 of 16 passes in relief of Young on Monday night against Jacksonville, throwing for 110 yards and one touchdown. By night's end, Collins had a quarterback rating of 108.9.
Of course, Collins' last start did not produce similar results. On a snowy October afternoon in Foxboro, Mass. last season, Collins was rendered ineffective by an aggressive Patriots defense. He completed just 2 of 12 passes, and failed to gain positive yardage through the air (-7 yards). After a Titans' fumble led to the Patriots' 59th point of the afternoon, Collins was replaced by Young, who went on to start Tennessee's final 10 games.
Also questionable for the Titans are defensive tackle Tony Brown (knee) and tight end Bo Scaife (groin). Neither Brown nor Scaife practiced all week. Cornerback Jason McCourty (forearm) and wide receiver Justin Gage (hamstring) are questionable, but both had full participation in Friday's practice.
Wide receiver Kenny Britt did not take part in practice after allegedly being involved in a club incident early Friday morning. Running back Chris Johnson had full participation in Friday's practice and is probable with a thigh injury.
