Zach Ertz was presented with the Steinberg-DeNicola Humanitarian Award at the Maxwell Club Awards Gala on Friday night in Atlantic City.
As the two-time Pro Bowl selection set the franchise record, as well as the NFL tight end record, for most catches in a season with 116 in 2018, Ertz also established the Ertz Family Foundation with his wife, Julie.
The off-field endeavor focuses on providing opportunities for youth to learn the value of exercise, nutrition, leadership, work ethic, accountability, and teamwork; improving the quality of education through supporting teachers, students, and schools; and restoring hope and building communities for families who need it most.
Howie Roseman and defensive end Chris Long were recipients of the honor last year. Head coach Doug Pederson was also on hand to present the Greasy Neale Professional Coach of the Year Award to former Eagles head coach Andy Reid. Pederson was the winner of the award in 2017.
