Eagles vs. Broncos injury report

Defensive end Josh Sweat

The Eagles have just two players questionable for Sunday and one of them was just added to the injury report on Friday. Defensive end Josh Sweat has to be cleared by an independent neurologist to get out of the concussion protocol. He was a full participant for the first time this week on Friday. Meanwhile, tackle Andre Dillard suffered a knee injury during practice on Friday, but did his full workload so he was still considered a full participant.

Back on Wednesday, six players missed practice for the Eagles. Five of them are good to go in a positive sign for the team.

QUESTIONABLE

• T Andre Dillard (Knee)

• DE Josh Sweat (Concussion)

BRONCOS RULE OUT BOTH STARTING TACKLES

Denver will not have either of their starting tackles Sunday as the Broncos ruled out left tackle Garret Bolles (ankle) and right tackle Bobby Massie (ankle) due to injury.

Ten Broncos are questionable including wide receiver Tim Patrick (knee), linebacker Malik Reed (hip), left guard Dalton Risner (foot), and cornerback Pat Surtain II (knee).

PAT SHURMUR IN COVID PROTOCOLS

The Broncos are planning to not have Offensive Coordinator Pat Shurmur available for Sunday's game due to COVID-19 protocols. Of course, Shurmur was the Eagles' offensive coordinator from 2013-15 and served as an interim head coach for the 2015 season finale, a win at the New York Giants. Shurmur is the offensive playcaller for the Broncos. Broncos Head Coach Vic Fangio would not divulge to reporters who will take over the playcalling duties.

Cornerback Avonte Maddox

Good news for the Eagles' secondary as cornerback Avonte Maddox (knee), safety Rodney McLeod (neck), and cornerback Darius Slay (hamstring) all returned to practice on Thursday. Starting defensive end Josh Sweat (concussion) also practiced. In fact, every member of the active roster participated in Thursday's session. Here's the breakdown:

LIMITED PARTICIPATION

WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (Ankle)

CB Avonte Maddox (Knee) – Maddox told reporters on Thursday that he will play. He hopes to be a full participant in Friday's practice.

CB Darius Slay (Hamstring) – Slay was likely itching to be back on the practice field after hearing what wide receiver DeVonta Smith told the media on Thursday.

DE Josh Sweat (Concussion) – Sweat's presence at practice is a positive sign. He'll need to be cleared by an independent neurologist before he can suit up on Sunday.

FULL PARTICIPATION

DT Fletcher Cox (Rest)

DT Javon Hargrave (Shoulder)

T Lane Johnson (Rest)

C Jason Kelce (Rest)

S Rodney McLeod (Neck) – McLeod did not practice on Wednesday, so this is a terrific sign.

WR DeVonta Smith (Elbow)

INJURIES TO WATCH IN DENVER
