BALTIMORE – The rain cleared just in time as the Eagles opened their 2024 preseason at M&T Bank Stadium on Friday night.

The Eagles came away victorious on the road thanks to a Jake Elliott 49-yard field goal as time expired after a strip-sack fumble recovery from Patrick Johnson set up the opportunity.

"Vic (Fangio) gave us a good play call. They were able to go get after the quarterback, and so, when that play call came, I got excited because I know I was gonna get on that edge and even maybe end the game, so everything worked out." Johnson said following the win.

First Quarter

• After the Eagles failed to convert on a 4th-and-8 on their first drive, the Ravens quickly moved down the field thanks to a 12-yard run and 17-yard by running back Owen Wright before opening the scoring with a 46-yard field goal from Justin Tucker. (Ravens 3 - Eagles 0)
• The Eagles' first points of the 2024 preseason came at the hands of rookie running back Will Shipley off of a 7-yard pass from Kenny Pickett. Jake Elliott's extra point hit the left upright and missed. (Eagles 6 - Ravens 3)
• "It's a dream come true. And for it to happen in the first game is incredible. Something I'll remember for the rest of my life for sure," Shipley said on his first career (preseason) touchdown.

Second Quarter

• The Ravens began the second quarter with a couple of chunk plays including a 19-yard diving catch by Tylan Wallace to put them inside of the red zone before cornerback Kelee Ringo stopped a potential touchdown pass to Keith Kirkwood. The Ravens ended the drive with a chip-shot field from 21 yards out. (Ravens 6 - Eagles 6)
• The Eagles remained aggressive in the second quarter, going for it again from their own 34-yard line and converting with their signature tush-push before having to punt for the first time after being stopped a few plays later. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. made his first career tackle on the punt return.
• The fun didn't end there for Trotter Jr., as the rookie linebacker came up with a big sack on 3rd-and-2 to force the Ravens' offense off the field late in the quarter.
• Both defenses held strong throughout the second quarter to keep the game even after one half of football.
• "It felt good. That was my first play out there, so coming out there making that play, you know, backed up, it felt great. I thank God, I thank my teammates, but I also just, you know, felt really good to get into the game and that be one of my first plays out there," Trotter Jr. said.

Third Quarter

• Tanner McKee checked into the game with 9:47 left in the quarter, leading a steady drive down the field that included another fourth-down conversion for the Eagles and some strong runs from Tyrion Davis-Price.
• The Eagles broke the scoring drought with a 2-yard touchdown run from Lew Nichols to conclude a 17-play, 74-yard drive that lasted 7:31. (Eagles 13 - Ravens 6)
• The Eagles forced a three-and-out on the following possession behind a sack from Nolan Smith that resulted in a loss of 9 yards.
• "It felt good, just getting in the flow of things, actually playing football, and just miss it man, miss being out there. I was fortunate enough to play next to a guy that's amazing that I watch on film every day, Bryce Huff. It just felt good, being out there with him. And you know how things go, it's just the flow of the games," Smith said.

Fourth Quarter

• The Ravens put together a drive led by quarterback Devin Leary that took up a large part of the quarter before they eventually punched it in the end zone on a QB sneak from Leary to even the game. (Eagles 13 - Ravens 13)
• The Eagles converted their third fourth-down attempt with a tush-push from McKee on another lengthy drive as they tried to break the tie late in the game.
• Elliott missed a field goal off of the right post that would have given the Eagles, but hope wasn't lost as Patrick Johnson forced a strip-sack giving the ball right back to them and another chance for Elliott.
• Elliott drilled the walk-off kick from 49 yards to give the Eagles their first victory of preseason. (Eagles 16 - Ravens 13)
