It appears that the Eagles swooped in to nab yet another free agent off the market.
This time, it was offensive tackle Ryan Harris, formerly of the Denver Broncos, who agreed to terms on a one-year deal Tuesday evening.
Reports out of Denver indicated that Harris was close to re-signing with the team that originally drafted him in the third round back in 2007 out of Notre Dame. The 6-5, 300-pound Harris has stated 34 of 46 games in his four-year career. Harris can play both the right and left tackle positions.
The Eagles are set on the left side of the line with All-Pro tackle Jason Peters. On the right side, King Dunlap has taken a majority of the first-team reps with Winston Justice starting camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list because of a knee injury from last season. Second-year tackle Austin Howard has also received some first-team reps on the right side as well.
Harris, along with the rest of the free agents who have joined the Eagles, cannot practice until Thursday.
