Quarterback Kevin Kolb did not report for training camp on Wednesday. Kolb did not have to arrive on Wednesday because there is a one-day grace period due to the fact that the new Collective Bargaining Agreement was just completed on Monday.
There have been reports that the Eagles are close to a deal that will send the veteran quarterback to Arizona for cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a draft pick, but no deal has yet to officially materialize. Head coach Andy Reid did not want to comment on status of any negotiations with other teams or free agents.
"Free agency, trades, and any contract things, I'm staying away from," Reid said. "Right now, when you're normally in this thing with some sort of strategy to work through, I don't want to divulge anything."
